OA are recruiting for a Logistics Team Leader to join our client’s highly successful and growing team.
Are you an experienced logistics professional ready to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced warehouse environment? A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a well-established and growing company looking for a skilled Material Logistics Team Leader to take ownership of dispatch, inventory, and goods-in operations. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone passionate about operational excellence, continuous improvement, and team development.
Location: Welham Green
Hours: Monday - Friday. 8am-5pm.
Salary: £30,000-£33,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of Material Controllers in goods-in, dispatch, and inventory functions
- Oversee picking, packing, and final inspection operations, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency
- Drive adherence to KPI targets including On-Time Delivery, Quality, and Job Efficiency
- Ensure accurate and timely cycle counts (A/B/C classifications) and inventory reconciliation
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, applying root cause analysis and CAPA techniques
- Champion lean methodologies (5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, etc.) across warehouse functions
- Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations and internal quality systems
- Liaise cross-functionally with manufacturing, planning, and sales to support production and shipping timelines
- Maintain ERP system (e.g. Epicor) accuracy for all stock movements and non-conforming goods
Skills and Experience:
- Proven leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong understanding of dispatch, inventory management, and cycle counting processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor or similar)
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Act compliance
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Can-do attitude, team-oriented mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement
- Forklift licenses (Reach & Counterbalance)
- Training in Lean Management / Six Sigma
- Experience using shipping software (e.g., UPS systems)
- Understanding of manufacturing environments and quality inspection processes
