OA are recruiting for a Logistics Team Leader to join our client’s highly successful and growing team. Are you an experienced logistics professional ready to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced warehouse environment? A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a well-established and growing company looking for a skilled Material Logistics Team Leader to take ownership of dispatch, inventory, and goods-in operations. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone passionate about operational excellence, continuous improvement, and team development.

Location: Welham Green

Hours: Monday - Friday. 8am-5pm.

Salary: £30,000-£33,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of Material Controllers in goods-in, dispatch, and inventory functions
  • Oversee picking, packing, and final inspection operations, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency
  • Drive adherence to KPI targets including On-Time Delivery, Quality, and Job Efficiency
  • Ensure accurate and timely cycle counts (A/B/C classifications) and inventory reconciliation
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, applying root cause analysis and CAPA techniques
  • Champion lean methodologies (5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, etc.) across warehouse functions
  • Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations and internal quality systems
  • Liaise cross-functionally with manufacturing, planning, and sales to support production and shipping timelines
  • Maintain ERP system (e.g. Epicor) accuracy for all stock movements and non-conforming goods

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Strong understanding of dispatch, inventory management, and cycle counting processes
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor or similar)
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Act compliance
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Can-do attitude, team-oriented mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Forklift licenses (Reach & Counterbalance)
  • Training in Lean Management / Six Sigma
  • Experience using shipping software (e.g., UPS systems)
  • Understanding of manufacturing environments and quality inspection processes
