About the Role
Our client has established a global reputation as the world’s foremost designer, manufacturer and installer of some of the world’s largest doors, ranging from fire station doors, through aircraft hangar doors and on up to 70 metre high doors for rocket launching facilities. The Company does business all around the world.
A leading engineering firm is looking for two experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineers to join its service team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing large-scale industrial doors – from sectional doors to full-scale hangar systems - across a defined UK region. This is a field-based role with some overnight stays and occasional overseas work.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of industrial doors
- Perform fault-finding, part replacements, and minor repairs
- Submit post-visit service reports using internal systems
- Liaise with customers on-site and ensure professional service delivery
- Travel daily (regional coverage), with some overnight stays
- Occasional weekend work (with time off in lieu)
- Possibility of international service assignments
Applicant Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with industrial doors (or similar: shutters, gates, lifts, cranes)
- Mechanical and electrical engineering background
- Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
- 18th Edition electrical qualification
- Valid CSCS card, IPAF and DHF certifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong safety awareness and communication skills
- Must be eligible for DBS/security clearance
