Duties of a Housekeeping Manager:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the housekeeping department across the resort, ensuring all areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, serviced office spaces and public areas are cleaned and presented to a high standard
- Working closely with the Accommodation Services Manager as part of the Housekeeping Management team
- Using initiative to manage operational challenges and implementing innovative solutions
- Leading by example in a hands-on role, motivating and developing the housekeeping team through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job training
- Ensuring consistent standards of cleanliness, attention to detail and guest satisfaction
- Managing team rotas, ensuring adequate cover seven days a week
- Supporting and contributing to a positive, people-focused working culture
What we would like from you:
- Previous experience in a Housekeeping Management role is essential
- Proven experience managing a team of 20+ staff
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy operation
- A passion for cleanliness and high standards with a keen eye for detail
- A people person with excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills
- Ability to coach, develop and motivate a team
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including weekends
- A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to embrace the company’s culture and values
