Pay: £24.00 per hour | Overtime: £30.00 per hour

OA are currently recruiting experienced HGV Workshop Technicians to join our Coventry-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, both within our well-equipped workshop and on the road using our mobile service vans.
As a Workshop Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties including maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on HGVs. You'll be part of a proactive team ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance in line with DVSA guidelines.
- Complete engine and vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, and mechanical repairs.
- Diagnose and rectify faults using advanced diagnostic tools and systems.
- Accurately complete job cards and service documentation using R2C.
- Attend roadside and field breakdowns as needed, including occasional out-of-hours support.
- Proven experience working with HGVs in a maintenance and repair capacity.
- Solid understanding of DVSA standards for roadworthiness.
- NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent) or time-served experience.
- Skilled in fault diagnosis, mechanical repairs, and MOT preparation.
- IRTEC accreditation
- HGV Class C+E Licence
- Experience with car transporters
- Familiarity with LOLER testing
- Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical lifting systems
- Experience using R2C workshop systems
- Competitive hourly rate of £24.00 with overtime at £30.00
