About the Company

Our client is a successful and growing organisation providing technology-enabled subscription, customer experience and BPO solutions across the media, publishing, membership and not-for-profit sectors. They are looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to identify new opportunities, build strong client relationships and develop a robust sales pipeline. Working closely with the Director of Business Development, this role will suit a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys opening doors, engaging with decision-makers and converting opportunities into new business.

  • Monday to Friday, generally 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Hybrid working with regular office presence preferred
  • Salary £32,000 - £40,000 per annum
  • Commission structure

Responsibilities

  • Research target markets, generate leads and identify new business opportunities
  • Qualify prospects and build a strong pipeline of sales opportunities
  • Engage with decision-makers to understand their needs and identify suitable solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients
  • Support proposals, presentations and commercial negotiations through to conversion
  • Represent the business at relevant industry events and networking opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting and sales forecasts
  • Consistently achieve agreed activity and revenue targets

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in business development, lead generation or B2B sales
  • Experience within technology, SaaS, outsourcing or complex solution sales
  • Strong understanding of consultative or solution-based selling
  • Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline
  • Confident communicating with decision-makers and developing commercial relationships
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CRM experience, ideally MS Dynamics
  • Highly driven, target-focused and self-motivated
  • Proactive, resilient and solution-focused approach
  • Able to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work across different teams
  • Desirable: Experience within the subscription, media, publishing, membership or not-for-profit sectors
  • Experience selling complex or multi-service solutions
  • Relevant sales or business development training or qualifications
