About the Company

Our client is a successful and growing organisation looking to recruit an experienced Facilities & Supplier Manager to join their team in Hatfield. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the workplace, facilities operations and supplier relationships are managed effectively. You will take ownership of facilities, health & safety compliance, contractor management and supplier performance, whilst identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and value. This role would suit an experienced Facilities Manager who enjoys taking ownership, creating structure and making a tangible impact within a business.

  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
  • Salary £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day facilities operations across the office and warehouse environment
  • Ensure the site remains safe, compliant, well maintained and welcoming for employees and visitors
  • Manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers, ensuring high standards of service delivery
  • Oversee facilities contracts including cleaning, maintenance, security, waste management and other site services
  • Review supplier performance, identify improvements and support contract reviews and tender processes
  • Maintain accurate facilities records including compliance documentation, certificates, inspections and risk assessments
  • Take ownership of health & safety processes, supporting ongoing compliance and continuous improvement
  • Manage audits, incident reporting, corrective actions and safety initiatives
  • Develop proactive maintenance schedules and ensure key compliance activities are completed on time
  • Monitor facilities spend and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and value
  • Support ISO 45001 accreditation and ongoing compliance requirements
  • Provide updates and reports to senior stakeholders on facilities, compliance and supplier performance
  • Support and develop the wider facilities team

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within facilities management, ideally within an operational, warehouse, manufacturing or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance, risk assessments and contractor management
  • Experience managing suppliers, contractors and service providers
  • Commercial awareness with experience reviewing costs, contracts and supplier performance
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive approach with the ability to identify improvements and implement change
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of facilities operations
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Desirable: IWFM qualification or equivalent facilities management experience
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
  • Experience supporting ISO 45001 or similar accreditation processes
  • Experience within a warehouse, logistics or operational environment
