About the Company
Our client is a successful and growing organisation looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to join their team in Hatfield. Working closely with the Facilities Manager / Health & Safety Officer, this role will provide day-to-day support across workplace facilities, supplier coordination, health & safety administration and general office operations. This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys taking ownership of ensuring the workplace remains safe, compliant and well maintained.

Responsibilities
- Support the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day running of workplace facilities
- Act as a point of contact for colleagues, visitors, contractors and suppliers
- Support reception activities including visitor management and incoming calls
- Maintain a safe, clean and professional working environment across the site
- Coordinate maintenance requests, contractor visits and facilities-related actions
- Support supplier management including cleaning, maintenance and workplace services
- Maintain accurate facilities records, compliance documents and supplier information
- Assist with health & safety administration including audits, inspections and safety records
- Support fire safety processes, workplace checks and compliance requirements
- Coordinate facilities supplies, purchase requests and invoice administration
- Support office moves, meeting room preparation and workplace projects
- Identify improvements to facilities processes and colleague experience
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within facilities, office administration, reception, workplace support or a similar role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicating with colleagues, visitors, suppliers and contractors
- Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Good administrative skills including record keeping and document control
- Comfortable working in a hands-on role and supporting a wide range of facilities activities
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Positive, reliable and solution-focused approach
- Desirable: Experience supporting facilities, maintenance, suppliers or contractors
- Experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or operational environment
- IOSH, NEBOSH or facilities-related qualification
