An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Electrical Technician to join our client's successful and growing team.
Who are they?
Our client is a globally recognised engineering business specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke food processing machinery and industrial systems. This is a hands-on role involving the wiring, assembly, testing and fault-finding of industrial machinery, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress within the business.

Duties of an Electrical Technician:
- Wire and connect electrical systems on industrial machinery
- Install and connect sensors, motors, actuators and other electrical components
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings and BOMs
- Carry out functional testing, I/O checks and basic electrical fault-finding
- Work with motors, sensors, drives and control equipment, including DOL and VFD configurations
- Assist with signal verification and safe machine operation
- Support electrical installation work, machinery installations and improvement projects across the factory
- Work closely with engineering teams during machine build and system integration
- Maintain a safe, tidy and professional working environment
What we would like from you:
- Previous experience in electrical assembly, machine wiring, electrical fitting or a similar hands-on electrical environment
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Experience working with motors, sensors, drives and control equipment
- Practical electrical fault-finding experience
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Good attention to detail and a positive, flexible approach
- Strong team-working skills and willingness to learn and develop
Desirable:
- 18th Edition or equivalent, electrical installation experience, PLC/HMI or automation exposure, VFD/drive commissioning experience, or previous machinery manufacturing experience.
Development & Career Progression:
The role offers genuine opportunities to develop and progress into areas such as Controls Engineering, Test & Validation, Electrical Design or Commissioning Engineering, depending on experience and interests.
Working Hours:
The position is contracted at 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Monday: 7:30am β 4:00pm
- Tuesday: 7:30am β 4:30pm
- Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30am β 5:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am β 12:00pm
There is a 10-minute morning break and a 30-minute lunch break each day. Overtime may be available, including Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, and is paid at 1.5x the standard hourly rate.
