Duties of a Finance Manager:

This is a blended, hands-on role, ideal for a Management Accountant ready to take the next step into a Finance Manager position, while retaining operational and commercial finance responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will support the business in achieving its strategic goals by delivering timely, accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis.

Key duties will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts with full variance analysis and commentary
  • Managing month-end close processes including reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
  • Daily cashflow management and forecasting
  • Producing sales, margin, and departmental cost reports for review with key stakeholders
  • Assisting in annual budgeting and regular forecasting activities
  • Supporting year-end processes, including liaising with external auditors
  • Overseeing VAT, corporation tax reporting, and statutory submissions
  • Managing capital expenditure processes and reporting
  • Processing payment runs and handling ad-hoc finance duties as required

What we would like from you:

We are seeking a qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or QBE finance professional with solid experience in management and financial reporting within an SME or fast-paced commercial setting.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience supporting operational and commercial teams with financial insight
  • Previous involvement in ERP systems implementation or enhancement (advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
