Junior Paralegal

OA are recruiting for a Junior Paralegal to join our client’s well-established and growing law firm in Enfield.

The Junior Paralegal will provide day-to-day support to experienced fee earners across a range of departments, including Litigation, Private Client, Family and Conveyancing.

The successful candidate will be primarily based within one department but will also provide support and cover across other areas of the firm as required.

  • Junior Paralegal Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support to fee earners within your allocated department.
  • Assist with all aspects of file progression.
  • Open and close client files.
  • Prepare basic legal documents and correspondence.
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing post and enclosures.
  • Liaise with clients, agents and third parties.
  • Provide updates to clients by telephone and in writing.
  • Assist with administrative tasks relevant to your department.
  • Provide support and cover across other departments when required.
  • Carry out general office administration and support duties.
  • Provide reception cover when required, including meeting and greeting clients.
  • Handle incoming calls and manage appointments.
  • Support general front-of-house duties when required.
  • Work flexibly across the firm to support business needs.
  • Junior Paralegal Skills and Experience
  • At least 1 years’ experience working within a legal environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confident communicating with clients, agents and third parties.
  • Proactive, flexible and willing to assist across different areas of the firm.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Keen to learn and develop within a structured and supportive legal environment.
  • Experience with case management systems would be advantageous.
