Location: Bedford

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm | Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm (36.5 hours per week)

Pay: £13.50 to £14.50 per hour (DOE) Plus regular paid overtime

We're looking for an experienced, organised and dependable Stores & Logistics Operative to join our client on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a member of a well-established business with a small, close-knit team and excellent staff retention.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with systems, maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring goods move efficiently through the business. Whilst there is a hands-on element, the position has a strong focus on stock control, inventory accuracy and logistics operations.

Duties

  • Receive and book stock into the inventory system
  • Check deliveries against purchase orders and maintain accurate stock records
  • Organise warehouse stock and keep the stores area safe and tidy
  • Complete monthly stock takes and investigate discrepancies
  • Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders
  • Arrange courier collections and prepare shipping documentation
  • Issue stock to the workshop, process returns and produce inventory reports
