Overview
Business Development Manager OA is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our client's growing and successful team. Our client, a market leader in the bedding and upholstery components industry, is seeking a talented Sales Executive to help drive new business, upsell to existing customers, and meet ambitious sales targets. We're after someone with a strong track record in sales, outstanding customer relationship skills, and a real hunger for winning new business. Location: Enfield
Hours: Full-time. Office based. Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm & Friday 8.00am - 2.00pm
Salary: Up to Β£35,000 - depending on experience

Responsibilities:
- To maximise growth of sales within the business.
- Ownership of area accounts, account planning and execution.
- Source and generate leads for potential new business.
- Securing appointments with prospects to conduct either a telephone/online discussion or a face-to-face meeting.
- Prepare quotations and follow up.
- Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences in the UK and occasionally abroad.
- Occasional visits to customers involving overnight hotel stays, within UK and N Ireland/Eire.
- Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers.
- Assist the Sales Manager in the Marketing and PR area working alongside a Marketing Agency.
- Ensure all customer queries are handled appropriately and monitored through to resolution.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, with great attention to detail.
- Professional and resilient with a positive outlook.
- Team player who goes the extra mile.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook) and CRM software.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, in an open office environment, whilst being able to work independently on your own initiative with tenacity & a drive to improve and succeed.
- Background in the bedding or soft furnishings industries would be advantageous but not critical.
- Full UK driving license required.
- Ability to analyse lost business and review opportunities to increase successful conversions.
