An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Buyer to join a fast-growing client based in Saffron Walden.
Duties of a Buyer:
- Generate and submit general inventory and material POs (using supply chain websites & email address)
- Expedite POs to meet agreed due dates and update system accordingly.
- Liaise with Production Manager and team leaders to establish product deliverables against project timelines.
- Generate quotations through the system
- Manage the following: Stock, Demand, Inspect, Scheduling, Spares, Pricing
What we would like from you:
- Previous experience in a purchasing or buyer role (aviation/MRO sector a bonus)
- Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., Aerotrac or similar ERP)
- Strong understanding of inventory, demand planning, and supplier management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
