Business Development Executive – About the Company
Our client is a successful and growing organisation providing technology-enabled subscription, customer experience and BPO solutions across the media, publishing, membership and not-for-profit sectors.
They are looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to identify new opportunities, build strong client relationships and develop a robust sales pipeline.
Working closely with the Director of Business Development, this role will suit a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys opening doors, engaging with decision-makers and converting opportunities into new business.
Business Development Executive – Details
- Monday to Friday, generally 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Hybrid working with regular office presence preferred
- Salary £32,000 - £40,000 per annum
- Commission structure
- 25 days holiday plus UK statutory Bank Holidays

Business Development Executive – Responsibilities
- Research target markets, generate leads and identify new business opportunities
- Qualify prospects and build a strong pipeline of sales opportunities
- Engage with decision-makers to understand their needs and identify suitable solutions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients
- Support proposals, presentations and commercial negotiations through to conversion
- Represent the business at relevant industry events and networking opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting and sales forecasts
- Consistently achieve agreed activity and revenue targets
Business Development Executive – What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in business development, lead generation or B2B sales
- Experience within technology, SaaS, outsourcing or complex solution sales
- Strong understanding of consultative or solution-based selling
- Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline
- Confident communicating with decision-makers and developing commercial relationships
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
- CRM experience, ideally MS Dynamics
- Highly driven, target-focused and self-motivated
- Proactive, resilient and solution-focused approach
- Able to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work across different teams
- Desirable:
- Experience within the subscription, media, publishing, membership or not-for-profit sectors
- Experience selling complex or multi-service solutions
