They are looking for an experienced Office Manager to lead their busy administration function. This is a varied, hands-on leadership role where you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support and develop a team of six administrators, providing day-to-day supervision and coaching
  • Allocate workloads, monitor priorities and ensure the smooth running of office operations
  • Oversee the sales order processing function from receipt through to dispatch
  • Act as the main point of escalation for customer service and administrative queries
  • Work closely with warehouse, production, logistics and accounts teams to ensure orders progress efficiently
  • Support the team with hands-on administration, including order processing and documentation where required
  • Monitor outstanding orders, customer requests and delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate administrative systems, reports and customer records
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement operational efficiencies
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and effective communication across the business

What We're Looking For

  • Driving license essential due to location
  • Previous Office Manager or Administration Manager experience
  • Experience managing and developing office-based teams
  • Strong background in sales order processing and customer service
  • Confident handling customer escalations and resolving complex queries
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to work across multiple departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience using Sage and Google Workspace would be advantageous
  • Experience within manufacturing, logistics or distribution would be beneficial, although candidates from other fast-paced operational environments will also be considered
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to adapt your approach to different personalities
