OA are recruiting for a Junior Account Handler to join our client’s growing team. This role involves managing an existing portfolio of construction clients while developing and converting new business opportunities.
Location: Barnet
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Office based.
Salary: £25,000–£30,000 basic - £35,000 OTE

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team in managing and servicing a portfolio of construction clients
- Assist with renewals, quotations, and new business enquiries
- Handle policy changes and mid-term adjustments (MTAs)
- Respond to client queries via phone and email in a professional manner
- Build positive relationships with clients and insurers
- Help convert inbound enquiries into new business opportunities
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services
- Negotiate with insurers to obtain competitive terms for clients
- Process policies, renewals, and documentation accurately using internal systems including Acturis
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure excellent customer service and smooth day-to-day operations
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, recruitment, administration, or a client-facing role desirable
- An interest in starting or developing a career within the insurance industry
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident speaking with customers and handling enquiries
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Acturis experience or previous insurance experience beneficial but not essential, as training can be provided
- Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach advantageous
