Central London £70k – £85k + Bonus & Hybrid Working (2-3 days in the office)
The role will sit between the CFO and the Property Accountant and will incorporate both financial accounting as well as having a hands-on oversight role in the property service charge accounting.
Duties
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for real estate portfolios
- Perform variance analysis, budget forecasting, and financial modelling
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory accounts, including VAT returns, corporation tax, and capital allowances
- Oversee all aspects of property accounting, including rent rolls, service charges, and maintenance of lease schedules
- Preparation and reconciliation of service charge
- Review and reconcile tenant ledgers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Preparation and filling of VAT returns
Requirements
- Strong, hands-on property accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) and property tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Yardi, MRI) and MS Excel
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, grow and develop a team
