We design and build cutting-edge engineering systems to make offshore wind happen at scale. We supply engineering equipment across many technology areas, to enable key offshore operations such as wind turbine foundation installation, burial and installation of subsea cables, and the lifting & handling of wind turbine components. We’re here to redefine what’s possible offshore, to drive the clean energy sector, and our planet, forward. We combine decades of collective experience in developing offshore equipment with fresh and innovative approaches, and we are passionate about enabling a more sustainable world for us all.

This role is the sturdy foundation underpinning Osbit’s success. An Osbit Mechanical Engineer is technically capable, and driven, in equal measure. You're an energetic all-rounder, owning your project from start to finish, and collaborating closely with your colleagues to overcome any obstacles thrown your way. The offshore wind industry is growing fast, and our projects are too. You'll be part of a live project team, working closely with your teammates to design and build each engineering system. You may be assigned different roles project-to-project, and your core responsibilities include:

  • Helping design innovative systems from first principles, from concept through to detailed design, while maintaining technical excellence.
  • Supporting on schedule delivery by effective management of your project deliverables.
  • Managing supplier progress, holding regular meetings and in-person support.
  • Preparing for and carrying out testing, commissioning and mobilisation activities.
  • Liaising with other business functions, including finance and HSSEQ, for support and guidance.
  • Supporting your teammates by sharing your knowledge and insights in working groups and presentations, where applicable.

We welcome a range of qualification levels, from graduates onwards. A degree-level qualification, or equivalent, in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture. The ability to work with Autodesk Inventor software. Working abroad may be required at times to visit customers, suppliers, and support assembly programmes.

Bike to Work and Electric Vehicle rental schemes. Annual summer party celebration and Christmas walk, lunch, and festivities. Further benefits package currently under construction.
