About the team: The Infrastructure Operations Team supports the banks daily operations across OSB Group's sites and branch offices via the management of core infrastructure through monitoring, event management, project delivery and BAU support. To confirm, this role can be based in Chatham in Kent, Wolverhampton or Fareham.
What you will be doing: The M365 Lead Design Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, upgrades and performance of Microsoft M365 Services within OSB Group. You will be the overall M365 SME within the team and assist in high through to low level design support transition of architectural proposals from Technical Design Authority approval through to Low Level Design responsibilities and readiness for deployment. Practising a M365 design philosophy focussed on performance, resilience, security and scalability the position holder will be entrusted to provide tailored solutions based on industry best-practice principals that ensure strong strategic positioning for future advancement and expansion of the infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting, designing and implementing M365 Services including on-premise and cloud solutions
- Providing LLD for M365 services that integrate with existing or new infrastructure services based upon requirements
- Working collaboratively with other IT teams in translating high level business requirements into functional, technical designs demonstrable in a non-production environment
- Ensuring recurring issues are addressed by the right process and recurring issues are escalated
- Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft engineers supporting the wider team with technical documentation to provide long-term reference points for implementations and support knowledge cascade throughout team
- Actively stay abreast of M365 developments within the industry to make cost-effective use of new and emerging tools and support the business with the most suitable technologies
- Support business from HLD through to LLD, maintaining network design documentation to assist with future planning, growth, audits, risk and BCP/DR initiatives
- Knowledge sharing with other support staff to build good knowledge base and ensuring we move to value added project activities always having continual improvement in the back of our mind
What’s in it for you? We offer a base salary dependent on experience between £70,000 - £77,000 and a competitive benefits package including:
