The Mortgage Product team are a proactive team that focuses on the lending proposition for the Group, looking for ways to develop new products and enter new product sectors whilst ensuring we are meeting customers\’ needs and expectations.
The Senior Proposition Manager is a newly created role for someone with sector knowledge and experience across Buy to Let (BTL) and Investor finance that is looking for an opportunity to play a leading-role in shaping and developing our proposition – with responsibilities ranging from ideation all the way through to market launch.
The role reports into the Head of Mortgage Proposition Development and will be key to developing and delivering innovative propositions across our Buy to Let offerings. This role can be based from any of our offices and will require occasional travel between all OSB Group locations.
What you will be doing:
As Senior Proposition Manager you will have a hands‑on approach to manage activities that support the delivery of new and enhanced Propositions designed around Customer needs and to achieve and optimise lending volume and ROE targets for the BTL/ Investor Lending lines, aligned to Group objectives. Your subject matter expertise in BTL will enable the organisation to progress on our roadmap to be a market leader.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the end‑to‑end development of mortgage propositions for BTL/Investor propositions, from concept through to launch, ensuring they are aligned with market trends, customer needs, and business objectives
- Lead detailed market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements to existing propositions in the Regulated space and use insights to shape product strategy and positioning
- Lead, develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for new and enhanced products, including pricing, positioning, and promotional activities
- Create and present compelling Proposition papers to support the delivery of the 5 year plan to senior stakeholders at key forums
- Work with the wider Product & Proposition team to develop effective and timely MI to track and analyse the performance of BTL/Investor propositions

Do you have the skills?
We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:
- Experience developing BTL lending propositions with a strong track record of delivering change and driving growth in these market sectors
- Experience of building proposition capability from scratch in different ways – internal development and also external partnerships (white‑labelling and/or referrals)
- Previous experience of building propositions using a combination of market, competitor, customer and staff insights
- Experience and ability to write business requirements/cases showcasing designed end‑to‑end journeys and develop Go‑to‑Market strategies
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements
- Knowledge and experience of Commercial BTL/Investor products, market trends, and customer needs within the UK Mortgage market, including specialist lending sector
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner with the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
