As the Programme Migration Lead, the key purpose of this role is to ensure effective end to end planning & delivery of the migration programme using appropriate methodologies, as OSB Group continues its transformative journey under the Modernisation programme which is set to digitise the Bank. The role holder will work with a cross functional team utilising their own background to lead the team, manage scope, evaluate & manage risks/issues, coordinate & ensure delivery of the supporting components to time & quality, in coordination with Business representatives, IT, Engineering, Vendors and other teams within the migration Programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and managing detailed workstream delivery plans across both technology and data workstreams aligned to product roadmaps.
  • Executing the end-to-end operational planning across migration workstreams, ensuring alignment with programme timelines, dependencies, and business priorities.
  • Leading the day-to-day planning and delivery of migration activities across the project lifecycle using hybrid methodologies.
  • Supporting the product owner & business analysis team in prioritising backlogs, participating in agile ceremonies and identifying areas for improvement which can be implemented.
  • Monitoring and managing programme financials, including budget planning, forecasting and cost control across all workstreams and provide regular financial reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Contributing towards the design, and leading on implementation of comprehensive migration strategies (e.g. phased, big bang, hybrid approaches) and determining migration methodologies (re-host, re-platform, re-factor) based on system complexity and risk profile.
  • Supporting the workforce planning, including onboarding, allocation and optimisation of internal teams and managing the programme resource plan, ensuring the right skills and capacity are in place across all workstreams.
  • Engaging and managing internal and external stakeholders up to ExCo level, including vendors and delivery partners.
  • Preparing and managing regulatory communications in line with compliance requirements and organisational standards.
  • Ensuring robust documentation, controls, and evidence are in place to satisfy internal and external audit requirements.
  • Driving business readiness, ensuring smooth transition from programme delivery into BAU operations, and developing and implementing business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption during and after migration.
  • Travelling between the Chatham, Wolverhampton and London locations as and when required.

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

  • Previous experience as an Agile Delivery Lead or Programme Manager within the Financial Services industry is essential.
  • Proven experience leading large scale complex technology and data migration to the cloud and transformation programmes involving multiple legacy systems, multiple stakeholders and vendors is essential.
  • Strong understanding of modern data platforms, cloud-native architectures, and scalable migration patterns (rehost, re-platform, refactor) is essential.
  • PMI, MSP or other project/programme management or Agile qualification is essential.
