We are looking for an experienced Senior MRI Radiographer to join our dedicated MRI team. This role offers the opportunity to work with Siemens MRI scanners, across a varied caseload including neuro, MSK and whole-body imaging. You will be part of a close-knit and collaborative team, working alongside radiologists and colleagues in an environment where professionalism, attention to detail, and patient experience are central.

  • Undertake all MRI imaging procedures in line with modality-specific protocols and best practice, including IR(ME)R 2017, CQC, SOR and RCR guidelines.
  • Conduct MRI safety screening, obtain informed consent, and ensure patient suitability for examinations.
  • Ensure the safe use and maintenance of MRI equipment, adhering to local safety policies and reporting issues as required.
  • Administer contrast media and associated medicines in accordance with PGDs and medicine management policies, maintaining accurate records.
  • Accurately record and manage patient data using RIS/PACS systems.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in line with data protection requirements.
  • Liaise with consultant radiologists regarding imaging protocols and referrals.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and take appropriate action where required.
  • Participate in clinical audit activities, including health & safety, infection control.
  • Comply with infection prevention and control policies and company health & safety standards.
  • Identify, report, and escalate risks that may impact patient or staff safety, or service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC and internal governance requirements.
  • Report incidents and complaints in line with company policy.
  • Participate in appraisal processes and ongoing performance review.
  • Support the induction, training, and development of new staff.
  • Complete and attend mandatory training and maintain accurate CPD records.

You are an experienced MRI Radiographer who combines technical expertise with a thoughtful, patient-centred approach.

  • Degree in Radiography (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years’ MRI experience across a broad range of examinations.
  • Strong understanding of MRI physics and protocol optimisation.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, health & safety, and infection control.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • PGDip or MSc in MRI/Radiography.
  • Experience within private healthcare or high-throughput environments.
