Orwins is growing and we are looking for a highly experienced tax lawyer to join us at partner level and establish our tax practice as a credible, respected offering within a growing national firm. We do law differently – focused, commercially minded and built around client relationships that last. Tax law sits at the heart of many of our client needs β€” across property, corporate, private client and contentious tax matters β€” and we are looking for someone with the expertise and ambition to build a practice that serves those clients brilliantly.

What This Looks Like

  • Building and leading the firm's tax practice β€” advising individuals, businesses, trustees and other clients on a broad range of direct and indirect tax matters.
  • Working across transactional and advisory tax work β€” supporting the property, corporate and private client teams on the tax dimensions of their matters.
  • Advising on personal tax planning, inheritance tax, stamp duty land tax, VAT and corporate tax structuring.
  • Developing and growing a tax client base β€” supported by the firm's marketing function, cross-referral network and growing national profile.
  • Contributing to the wider firm β€” the partner group at Orwins is collaborative and invested in collective success.

What We Are Looking For

An experienced tax lawyer with technical depth across a range of tax disciplines, a commercial instinct and the entrepreneurial drive to build a practice. You may be a partner already or a senior associate ready to make the step. Either way, you want to be somewhere that backs you.

What You Will Get

  • A competitive remuneration package, commensurate with your experience and the firm’s growth plans.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and your birthday off β€” increasing with service.
  • Private Medical Insurance through Vitality.
  • Cash plan through Medicash.
  • EAP scheme (open to family members).
  • Referral bonuses.
  • Enhanced wellbeing and family-friendly policies.
  • Salary sacrifice pension through NEST.
  • Hybrid working β€” we trust you to know where you do your best work.
  • Fresh, open plan offices across Manchester, Finchley and Reading.
  • CSR events and summer and winter colleague celebrations.
  • A people-focused, collaborative culture that makes coming to work genuinely worth it.

Confidential conversations welcome.
