Ready to make a difference? As an Orwell Team Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding care within our Extra Care service. Highly motivated and enthusiastic, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the smooth day-to-day running of the service. Leading by example, you will inspire, advise and motivate a dedicated care team to ensure our customers receive the highest standard of person-centred care, support and respect. No two days are the same, and you'll receive the learning and development you need to thrive at Orwell.
About Levington Court: Levington Court is located in the coastal town of Lowestoft. The service is close to a range of local amenities, including shops, cafés, GP surgeries and other essential services. Levington Court benefits from good local transport links, with bus services operating within easy reach of the scheme, offering convenient access to the town centre and surrounding areas. Free staff parking is also available on site.
Key responsibilities:
- Meet with new customers to assess their care and support needs, working closely with other agencies to ensure coordinated and person‑centred care
- Lead by example within the service, empowering, motivating and supporting team members to deliver high‑quality care
- Contribute to the recruitment, induction and ongoing integration of new members of the care team
- Carry out regular reviews with customers and liaise with professionals to develop and update care plans and care packages
- Deliver workshops and awareness sessions on key aspects of care provision, including completing competency checks
- Provide one‑to‑one support to team members, including supervision, appraisals and reflective practice
