Quantity Surveyor – Brickwork / Masonry Sector
Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 (DOE) + Generous Package
Location: Witham, Essex
Our client is an industry leading specialist brickwork contractor, that has been thriving for over 30 years. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor, with previous experience in the masonry sector, to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Quantity Surveyor will be involved in tendering, cost planning, measurement, valuation, contract administration, and final accounts. All expereince levels will be considered.
Duties:
- Preparation of bills of quantities, tender documentation, and contract documents.
- Measurement and valuation of works including cost analysis and cost planning.
- Contract administration, including variations, claims, and negotiations.
- Evaluation of tender submissions and preparation of tender reports.
- Preparation of budget estimates and cost plans.
- Assistance with the preparation and submission of progress payment applications.
Candidate Criteria:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (desired).
- Experience working for a Brickwork Contractor (highly desired).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cost estimating software.
- UK Driving Licence.
