An established and growing financial planning firm is seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Level 4 Diploma-qualified Financial Advisor. This role offers the best of both worlds: an existing client bank to service and genuine opportunity to grow your income through new business generation. Travel will be required across Somerset, Cornwall and Hampshire.
The Opportunity
This is a client-facing, revenue-generating advisory role focused on delivering holistic financial planning while actively developing new business opportunities. You will inherit and service an established book of clients while identifying cross-selling and additional planning opportunities. You will generate and convert new business in line with agreed targets, deliver advice across pensions, investments, tax planning, estate planning and protection, and conduct compliant annual reviews via face-to-face, video and telephone meetings. You will also promote and implement the firm’s central investment proposition and work collaboratively with paraplanners and administrators to ensure efficient case delivery. This role suits advisers who are commercially driven, proactive, and motivated to grow both income and influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Discovery & Financial Planning
- Conduct full fact-finds assessing financial circumstances, risk profile, capacity for loss and objectives.
- Provide clear, tailored and compliant financial recommendations.
- Draft suitability reports using structured templates.
- Review and improve existing client arrangements to ensure alignment with objectives.
- Meet and exceed agreed annual new business targets.
- Proactively prospect and convert new clients.
- Drive revenue growth from both inherited and newly acquired clients.
- Migrate clients appropriately onto the firm’s investment proposition.
- Maintain CAS and a valid SPS.
- Operate in full compliance with FCA regulations and firm procedures.
- Keep CPD up to date and remain informed on regulatory and tax changes.
- Maintain accurate and auditable client records.

What We’re Looking For
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum).
- Competent Adviser Status and current SPS.
- Proven experience delivering regulated financial advice.
- Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Experience conducting remote and in-person advice meetings.
- Desirable: Working towards Chartered status, experience using Intelligent Office, strong cashflow modelling capability.
