About The Role
Ortus Health is currently seeking a detail‑oriented Remote Clinical Coder to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate coding of medical records and clinical data, which is essential for patient care, insurance reimbursement, and compliance with healthcare regulations. You will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure that all medical diagnoses, procedures, and treatments are coded accurately and in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse clinical documentation to accurately assign codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using classification systems
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain quality and integrity
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify information and resolve coding discrepancies
- Stay updated with changes in coding practices and healthcare regulations
- Generate reports and summaries as needed for auditing and performance analysis
