About The Role

Ortus Health is currently seeking a detail-oriented Remote Clinical Coder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate coding of medical records and clinical data, which is essential for patient care, insurance reimbursement, and compliance with healthcare regulations. As a Remote Clinical Coder, you will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure that all medical diagnoses, procedures, and treatments are coded accurately and in a timely manner. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and the opportunity to contribute to our mission of enhancing healthcare delivery through quality coding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse clinical documentation to accurately assign codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using classification systems
  • Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain quality and integrity
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify information and resolve coding discrepancies
  • Stay updated with changes in coding practices and healthcare regulations
  • Generate reports and summaries as needed for auditing and performance analysis
  • Participate in educational opportunities to enhance coding skills and knowledge

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in clinical coding within a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment
