**SUCCESSION OPPORTUNITY**
PQE Range – 7 years +
Ortus Group have been retained by a long standing and incredibly well known city Law firm to attract a high quality and ambitious Employment Partner to work alongside the head of group as the business enters its next stage of growth.
This firm is highly rated in both Chambers and The Legal 500 directories of leading UK law firms and provide advice across the UK and internationally. The firm have strong alliances across Europe and a brand in the UK that is widely recognised as being market leading.
The firm have a long standing client base across both commercial and private client sectors and last year one third of the total turnover came from clients based outside of the UK which highlights the firm's ability to attract high value international work.
The employment team is currently made up of 2 partners and five associates but this is set to grow over the next 12 months. We see this individual being the future successor to the current head of group and as a result the incoming Employment Partner will work closely with the head of group as it will give them an opportunity to start building relationships with their clients. The firm covers all areas of Employment Law, Employee work can range from advice on grievance and disciplinary matters, performance management, unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing issues and claims, assistance with litigation in the Employment Tribunal and High Court including on team moves, and settlement agreements. Employer work will include the same matters as well as general day-to-day advice, work on contracts and policies, strategic and management issues, reorganisations and business transfers.
The incoming partner will be expected to play a key role in fee earning, management, client development, business development and the overall team growth strategy. This is a genuinely interesting opportunity to join a leading employment practice and play a key role that is focused on much more than being “just” a fee earner.
