Vacancy for Midday Supervisor at Orton Wistow Primary School
Salary: £2,766 (Actual Annual Salary) (Grade 3 Point 2 £24,413 FTE)
Hours of work: 5 Hours a week 12.10pm - 1.10pm Monday-Friday, 38 Weeks a year
Do you have experience supporting children and an ability to communicate effectively? Are you positive and motivated? We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and engaging Midday Supervisor, who strongly believes in the inclusion and acceptance of all students at Orton Wistow Primary School.
The Opportunity:
- Supervise pupils during the lunch periods, in the dinner queue in the dining hall, playground areas and school premises, ensuring the safety, welfare, physical and mental well-being of pupils and the maintenance of good order and discipline.
- Ensure the safety, welfare, physical and mental well-being of all pupils.
- Arrange and supervise activities, under the direction of the Cover Managers.
- Supervise pupils on the school premises in the hall, classrooms, on stairs and through corridors, when they are not allowed outside because of inclement weather.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in the English Language.
- Experienced in supporting children.
- Is aware of child protection issues.
- Understands the concept of confidentiality.
- Communicates effectively with all.
- Has a positive and enthusiastic approach towards work.
