Responsibilities
- Ensure high availability and efficiency of gas engines and related equipment through effective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and resolution.
- Swiftly respond to faults to optimise operational uptime.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to avoid unnecessary part replacements and reduce downtime.
- Provide technical support alongside other engineers and escalate issues to the senior field service engineer/operations supervisor.
- Handle emergency callouts promptly.
- Manage oil sampling in compliance with established standards.
- Accurately select, request, and manage parts, returning unused items to reduce waste.
- Keep van stock tidy and well-documented, promptly reporting any stock discrepancies.
- Maintain communication with the Operations Supervisor.
- Document all visits and complete service reports to the required quality and timelines.
- Ensure all company equipment is well-kept and clean.
- Maintain and ensure all tooling is calibrated.
- Support the Operations Supervisor as required and provide staff with technical training when required.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Occasional overnight stays may be required.
- 40 hour working week door to door.

Skills & Experience
- Reasonable level of IT skills.
- High level of engineering skill with a minimum of 3 years engine experience.
- High level of mechanical and/or electrical experience.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Qualification.
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving license.
- Preferred: Gas safe registered.
- Experience with Jenbacher 624 and 616 engines.
- Experience with MWM 3020 and 2020 engines.
- HV/LV Experience.
