Tachart Ltd t/a Bolt & Nut manufacturing is a successful, dynamic, fast-paced precision engineering company, established in 1974 and currently expanding its operations in Swinton, Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The company's main activity is the manufacturing of Special Fasteners and Machined components for critical applications which involves the routine machining of challenging alloys such as duplex stainless steels, Inconel, Hastelloy and other high-performance metal alloys.
We have excellent opportunities for CNC Turn Lathe operators to join our team based at our site in Swinton, South Yorkshire. Tachart have full-time permanent positions for day shifts on CNC 2 axis Turning Lathes, this job relates to working a DOOSAN S310 or Takisawa EX110.
The ideal candidate must be experienced on CNC 2 axis and conventional machining skills/experience would be beneficial as would previous experience of machining challenging materials such as Inconel, Nimonic duplex etc. The machine shop mainly comprises of Fanuc operated DOOSAN/Hwacheon Lathes and Haas VMC's.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate competence in the use of inspection equipment and the interpretation of measured values, including use of Digital Verniers, Micrometers, Dial Test Indicators and thread gauges thus ensuring components meet the drawing and our high-quality standard of workmanship.
Duties include:
- Safe & efficient machine setup & program modification
- Understanding of tooling required and use of plug/ring thread gauges
- The reading, interpretation and understanding of technical/engineering drawings
- Performing extensive routine inspection of the product during manufacture and optimisation of the set-up to maintain quality & efficiency
- Performing basic preventative maintenance operations
38 / 43 Hours per week, days only. Rate of pay: £15.00 / Hr plus variable depending on skill, plus bonus and overtime rates, regular weekend overtime, Pension plan, Westfield scheme etc.
