Our client is a leading orthopaedic company that develops surgical implant systems for foot & ankle conditions. Due to their continued growth, they seek a Sales Associate to join their team in the Midlands Region of the UK.
The Sales Associate is expected to work with the local Business Development Managers in supporting their local accounts (supporting cases, checking stock inventory, booking kits, ordering new consignment, etc) and to represent the company in the highest professional manner.
Key responsibilities:- Support the company’s range of products as directed by management strategies.
- Develop close relationships with ALL key personnel in the territory.
- Provide all the necessary training in the company's products, but never assist in any surgical procedure or patient intervention.
- Pass on to the relevant BDM any leads or opportunities that may present themselves.
- Allocate time to acquire the necessary knowledge of the company's and competitor products.
- Undertake other duties such as attendance at sales meetings, exhibitions, staff training etc.
- Take part in stock checks of consigned stock as and when required.
- Provide a report on a weekly/monthly basis, outlining performance, activities and competitive situation.
- Ensure that hospital contracts are up to date.
- Provide forecasts and market research information to management.
- Organise and attend customer training sessions on the safe and effective use of our instruments and implants.
To be considered for the role, you must closely match the following criteria:
- Educated to a minimum of ‘A’ level or equivalent.
- Preferably a Science degree.
- Experience within the MedTech sector.
- Knowledge of NHS, hospital workings and anatomy.
- Communication.
- NHS workings/ Theatre etiquette.
- Presenting, Numerate and literate.
- A full driving license.
- Willingness to support/ travel off territory to help colleagues.
- Ideally experience in med-tech but not essential.
