About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Veterinary Referral Surgeon to join our growing referral team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-equipped, progressive environment, handling a varied and complex caseload, with a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced surgical care for referred cases, predominately orthopaedics, with some soft tissue.
- Work closely with referring veterinary practices to ensure continuity of care.
- Deliver exceptional patient care and maintain high clinical standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding treatment plans and outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and best practices.
- Support and mentor junior veterinary staff where appropriate.
- Contribute to the peripatetic side of the business.
- Cover out of hours on a rota.
- Have an interest in CT.
- Utilise CT and arthroscopy in close collaboration.
About You
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Advanced qualifications (Diploma or Surgical Certificate).
- Proven experience in a referral or advanced practice setting.
- Strong surgical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Extensive experience with CT and arthroscopy.
