The role of the Business Development Executive is to actively promote the company by identifying and winning new business, assisting in the development and promotion of new clinical services, and ensuring strong relationships are built and maintained with all relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the diagnostic imaging, outpatient and surgical sector.
- Nurture and develop relationships with key stakeholders within the HSE, HSCNI, Private Health Insurers and corporate bodies.
- Engage with other bodies as relevant, such as patient groups, trade associations and similar, to further increase company awareness.
- Generate and follow up leads and appointments through networking and proactive prospecting as well as using company marketing resources.
- Identify referrers and other users who have the potential to increase their use of our service, and ensure they understand the additional benefits we offer.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and advancements in clinical outpatient services and diagnostic imaging services.
- Managing and resolving referrers complaints in line with company guidelines and policy.
- Oversee your designated territory, ensuring the target audience is efficiently reached at the specified frequency.
- Participate in the planning and attendance of relevant meetings and exhibitions for healthcare professionals, with the goal of promoting our services.
- Prepare and review reports of the main activities on your territory, including details of your activities as required.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Clinic Managers across Ireland.
- Assist with the preparation of tenders and marketing material as required.
- 5+ years' experience working in business development.
- Minimum of 2 years business development experience in healthcare.
- Experience liaising with senior management teams and Director level.
- 3rd level qualification in business or healthcare is desirable.
- Experience in preparation of public sector tenders.
- Demonstrable experience of successful track record in business development.
- Commercially astute.
- Strong communication and articulation abilities, with proficiency in multitasking and time management.
- Goal-oriented and driven by results.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining professional relationships at all organisational levels.
- Self-driven, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Skilled in identifying potential challenges and developing effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
