We are seeking an experienced and motivated MRI Clinical Manager to join our team, providing high-quality MRI services across our Belfast and Omagh sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated radiographer to combine clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities in a patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality MRI examinations and exceptional patient care.
  • Lead and support the MRI service, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery across multiple sites.
  • Work independently as an Operator and Practitioner within professional and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of MRI technology, safety standards and imaging protocols.
  • Support clinical governance, quality assurance, audit and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a clinical expert, providing guidance, training and support to colleagues and wider healthcare teams.
  • Manage patient records accurately and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
  • Promote a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Leadership & Service Development

  • Provide leadership and accountability for the safe and effective operation of the MRI service.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and best practice standards.
  • Optimise scanner utilisation while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.
  • Support service planning, performance monitoring and operational efficiency.
  • Drive innovation and help maximise the value of MRI as a diagnostic tool.

Staff Development

  • Champion continuous professional development (CPD) and lifelong learning.
  • Support the induction, training and development of radiography staff.
  • Identify training needs and contribute to the delivery of educational programmes.
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on excellence, development and patient-centred care.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential: BSc Radiography/DCR(R) or equivalent, HCPC Registration, Minimum 4 yrs MRI Experience, Experience influencing change and excellence in a clinical environment.
  • Desirable: Post Graduate Qualification in MR Imaging, Recognised cannulation course, Recognised Leadership course, Cardiac MRI experience is desirable.
