We are now seeking Bank Sonographers to join our team in Belfast. As a Bank Sonographer, you will be responsible for the independent operation of ultrasound equipment, performing and assessing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, and ensuring a safe and positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Performing a range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations independently.
- Managing daily ultrasound lists and patient schedules.
- Using clinical expertise and sound judgement to identify normal and pathological findings.
- Analysing ultrasound images and communicating findings to reporting radiologists.
- Ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of patients throughout their examination.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating Radiology Information Systems (RIS).
- Monitoring equipment performance, reporting faults, and supporting quality assurance processes.
- Maintaining high professional standards and staying up to date with advances in ultrasound practice.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or recognized equivalent.
- Valid HCPC registration.
- Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert), Diploma (PgDip), or MSc in Medical Ultrasound/Sonography from an accredited university.
- Full working permissions in Northern Ireland/United Kingdom.
Experience:
- 5+ years Post graduation qualification in Ultrasound.
