Warehouse Technician – AO1 We are recruiting for a Warehouse Technician to join our team based at our Pencoed, South Wales facility.
This role will be working a 7 day fortnight shift pattern and reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Team Lead.
You’re new role: As Quidel Ortho continue to grow, we are looking to recruit a Warehouse Technician to join our team.
The role is responsible for the daily receipt, storage, picking and dispatch all materials which are under direct responsibility of the warehouse team.
This role offers fantastic training & development, as well as an established career path and entry into the innovative diagnostics industry.
- What you’ll be doing
- Support production by ensuring that schedules for supply and replenishment are met in terms of time and accuracy.
- Use of forklifts and manual handling of all stock i. e. goods in, storage and dispatch to customers.
- ERP transactions associated with the movement of stock.
- Stock checking and cycle counts of all stock.
- Escalation of issues to supervisor.
- Ensures that all activities are carried out in compliance with all regulations and laws governing business and quality operations (QRS/GMP, ISO, etc.).
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, national, international and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
- Daily inspection of manual handling/storage/lifting equipment and cold-rooms.
- What you’ll need to succeed
- Relevant operational experience, ideally within a warehouse environment.
- Maths and English qualification to GSCE Level, or equivalent, is essential.
- FLT License (Reach & Counterbalance)
- Ability to work as part of a team, and to gain cooperation and consensus with the work group.
- Understanding of shop floor management techniques to ensure smooth flow of product through the factory.
- Ability to perform basic problem solving and employing ethical thinking when making decisions.
- Microsoft office experience essential (Including Excel).
- Hardworking, reliable with good attendance and timekeeping.
- Flexible towards overtime.
- Ability to communicate verbally with all members of the operational team, outside the team.
- Ability to deal with complex processes and systems.
