As QuidelOrtho continues to grow, we are seeking to appoint a Site Services Lead to join our Facilities department on a permanent basis. This role will work on a standard day shift.

About QuidelOrtho, Pencoed: QuidelOrtho has been manufacturing products in South Wales for over 40 years. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, based in Pencoed, employs over 500 people who are involved in the manufacture and supply of clinical laboratory and immunohematology products to sites across the globe. Our Pencoed team manufacture a large menu of immunohematology products used in transfusion medicine; in addition to a large menu of immunoassay products encompassing a range of disease categories. On site we have a range of functions operating globally & locally. All our employees are working towards one common goal, to help save and improve lives through diagnostics.

Your new role: As the Site Services Lead at QuidelOrtho you will plan, provide and implement Site Services and Engineering support services at the Pencoed Site. You will support and overview Engineering department budgets, providing reports and guidance to Engineering team members. You will also be responsible for the management of site security personnel and procedures, control site visitors and relevant functions ensuring that site procedures and rules are followed.

  • Direct control and management of the site security team, site catering team as well as site cleaning team.
  • Manage and support Site services including Canteen facilities, Workwear, PPE, Security, site consumables including stationery and furniture. Including planning and execution of Pencoed site soft services.
  • Analysis of Engineering spends and budgets, to support the control of the department spends. Provide cost effective solutions to site requirements.
  • Manage and support of Pencoed Facilities Projects when required.
  • Support onsite audit events and conducting of internal audits. SME for Pencoed site Security procedures and policies.
  • Support of engineering procurement activities and service contract renewals, identification and onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Responsible for Pencoed site visitors including arrangement of hospitality, also any planning and execution of Pencoed site events.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Relevant qualifications in Business Studies/Engineering or equivalent education.
  • Experience in an Engineering or a Facilities function support role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High attention to detail. Documentation/Technical report writing skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to meet business needs.
  • Ability to train others and review work quality and quantity of others.
  • Ability to manage budgets and estimate budget amounts.
  • Work planning and prioritising.

Work location: Pencoed, Bridgend, predominantly office based with some outdoor activities required.
