Global Indirect Procurement Associate
We are hiring for a Global Indirect Procurement Associate to join our team on a permanent basis. This role can be based in either Pencoed, Wales or Prague, Czechia.
Your new role:
As the Global Indirect Procurement Associate, you will report into the Global Indirect Procurement Manager. You will be responsible for supporting global strategic procurement initiatives for indirect categories in professional services (e.g Contingent labour, HR, Legal, Finance, IT services and R&D services) including market and data analysis, category research and RFP management. The role encompasses subcategory management for Professional Services.
With support from the Category Manager, you will build working relationships with internal stakeholders including HR, IT, Legal, Finance, R&D and Operations to support sourcing and cost savings initiatives. The role requires knowledge of operational procurement, contracting, sourcing strategy development and category management.
What you’ll be doing:
- Category Management: Analyze spend and market data to initiate creative ideas in cost savings for assigned categories. Use critical thinking skills to challenge the status quo and lever data internally and externally to lower company cost. Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies.
- Category Operational Activities: Manage contract redlining, SLA development, and performance metrics establishment. Negotiate master service agreements and framework contracts with strategic technology partners.
- RFx Management: Perform sourcing activities including RFI/RFP/RFQ processes. Evaluate supplier proposals, conduct supplier assessments, and proposal evaluations and comparisons. Supports supplier selection processes incorporating TCO analysis and business case development.
- Supplier Relationship & Performance Management: Develop supplier relationships and manage supplier business reviews together with key stakeholders. Manage supplier scorecards and risk assessments.
- Operational Procurement: Assist business partners with procurement processes such as NDA\’s, sourcing and purchase order execution. Assist in resolving operational supplier issues with the purchase order systems.
- Tail Spend Optimization & Analytics: Supports tail spend reduction initiatives utilizing AI-powered analytics, spend classification algorithms, and automated procurement solutions. Implement catalogue management systems, e-procurement platforms, and self-service procurement tools to achieve 15-25% tail spend reduction targets.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (e.g. Business, Supply Chain, Procurement related field).
- Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry experience is preferred.
- Experience in procurement or equivalent in a supplier facing role is essential; Preferably in Professional Services
- Experienced in managing internal stakeholder relationships, global supplier management and cross-functional stakeholder management.
- Strong knowledge in Ariba, Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, SAP.
- Understanding spend data and categorization.
