Join us in this role where you’ll work as a trusted advisor, providing independent and professional QHSE guidance to site management, supporting offshore wind operations, and collaborating with a diverse and knowledgeable team dedicated to the safe operation of wind farms on the UK West Coast.
Welcome to QHSE Generation UKW You’ll be part of the QHSE Generation UK West Coast team where you, together with your colleagues, will share deep industry knowledge and uphold a culture of care, supporting the safe operation of our offshore wind farms. The team is composed of full-time and contract perssonnel, located across Barrow-in-Furness and Burbo Bank (Liverpool).
As a team, we value strong collaboration, open knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning to meet the evolving demands of the renewable sector. You will report directly to the West Coast Hub Head of Generation QHSE, working with colleagues across locations to drive results and foster a positive QHSE culture.
Responsibilities
- providing expert QHSE advice and guidance to site management and operational teams
- actively promoting a high standard of QHSE awareness and fostering a culture of care among all staff
- participating in and supporting offshore asset integrity management, policy, and strategy implementation
- conducting inspections, audits, and document reviews to ensure compliance with relevant standards, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001
- delivering verbal and written advice to offshore managers, technicians, and administration staff
- collaborating with cross-functional teams on QHSE initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
- bring experience in QHSE within high hazard industries (e.g., wind, oil & gas, petrochemical, or refineries)
- possess experience with auditing or accreditation for ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001
- Be a member of IOSH
- Hold as a minimum the NEBOSH general certificate, or NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Please note that you’re expected to carry out regular visits to our offshore windfarms so holding current GWO certification would be an advantage and also from time to time, travel between Barrow-in-Furness and the Burbo Bank sites, as well as occasional visits to other operational sites across the UK West Coast as directed by leadership and operational need.
