Location: Derby, East Midlands.
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) plus Pension.
Product Knowledge: Elumatec CNC Machinery & Software experience. Fabrication of Aluminium & PVCu Glazing & Doors.
The Company: The company is a successful Aluminium & PVCu Glazing and Door fabricator based in the Derby, East Midlands area. The company has been trading for many years and is now experiencing rapid growth across the company and is therefore looking for a CNC Operator with Elumatec CNC Machinery experience.
Responsibilities:
- Operating a Elumatec SBZ 122/73 CNC Machine to assist with the fabrication of Aluminium & PVCu Glazing & Doors.
- Upholding cutting quality levels, production time schedules and machinery operational safety.
- Understanding and operating Elumatec software for the CNC machinery.
- Working off job sheets and drawings to assist in the cutting and manufacture of Aluminium and PVCu glazing & door products.
- Implementing improvements on machinery operational practices and health and safety.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area to facilitate cutting functions.
- Liaising with the fabrication team to upkeep manufacturing commitments in a timely manner and produce progress updates.
- The CNC Operator will be responsible for ensuring all manufacturing is carried out in line with the company procedures and policy.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- The company would ideally like to meet CNC operators with previous Elumatec machinery experience. This includes operation and software experience. 5 years experience operating Elumatec machinery would be desirable. That said, general CNC machinery operators with experience operating a competitor brand to Elumatec would also be considered and training would be provided.
- Experience with operating Elumatec machinery for use in fabrication of Aluminium & PVCu Glazing and Doors would be beneficial but is not a necessity as product training will be given.
- Health & safety machinery operation experience with a particular focus on the Elumatec machinery would be desirable.
- Having a commercial understanding and appreciation for the fabrication of architectural building products including quality and delivery expectations would be advantageous.
- Experience with cutting lists and cutting materials from drawings on general fabrication machinery would also be desirable.
- Experience working from CAD drawings would be beneficial although not essential.
- A presentable individual with good punctuality and time keeping is a must.
- Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise with a range of colleagues across various levels of seniority in the company.
