Designer / Aluminium Glazing & Facade Systems

Based : Derby

Salary : £30k – £45k DOE

The Company

A successful building envelope sub‑contractor based in the Midlands area is currently looking for an experienced Designer to join their expanding team.

The company is a forward‑thinking and energetic business looking to grow their share of the market within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Working in a busy design office supporting the commercial team and a range of customers.
• Advising on technical design and installation issues for glazing systems.
• Overseeing design on multiple projects.
• Producing and understanding project and installation drawings.
• Attending / hosting technical meetings when required.

Experience Required

• The candidate will ideally have at least 5 years\’ experience as a designer within aluminium glazing systems & facade using AutoCAD and associated design software.
• Experience of working with a range of aluminium glazing systems and structural glass would be advantageous.
• Be enthusiastic and career driven with a professional attitude to work and a good eye for detail.
• Experience of planning, organising, managing and prioritising own workload.
