Join us in this role where you will be a key partner alongside the best engineers in the industry to create “best in class” OT network solutions across our production landscape. Your responsibilities will include installation & delivery of network infrastructure components at our European production facilities. The role involves technology used in 24x7 365 days business operations. Regular travel to our production sites across the UK and Ireland is required, so a full UK driver's licence is necessary.

Welcome to UK IT. You’ll be part of our Global IT/OT Production OM-ONE team, supporting the operation of our mission-critical assets across the EU region. You’ll join a department of over 10 colleagues worldwide, collaborating with project teams in an international setup. Our primary goal is to ensure stable, reliable infrastructure is available and online at all times.

You will maintain and support our existing network infrastructure, managing Cisco devices (routers, switches, WLCs, ASA and FTD firewalls), and overseeing platforms such as Panorama and Cisco CSM. You’ll play an important role in:

  • Maintaining, supporting, and transforming existing networks into new infrastructure designed for high availability, security, and ease of maintenance.
  • Implementing the appropriate cybersecurity measures on network solutions at production sites, meeting country-specific and Group requirements.
  • Managing network activities such as lifecycle management, software upgrades, and deployment.
  • Providing specialized knowledge during operations, including incident management, change impact assessment, and participation in on-call support if required.
  • Applying risk assessment, detailed work planning, centralized configuration, and continuous improvement, similar to modern DevOps practices.
  • Establishing new production sites with appropriate connections, including links to assets like ON+OF windfarms.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • Have relevant experience as an IT OT network engineer, preferably in the renewables industry or similar complex organizations with local and global interfaces.
  • Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or software engineering, a Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification, and have general knowledge of Palo Alto products.
  • Have experience in network administration, planning, and implementing network designs, with specific knowledge of Cisco infrastructure, including IOS-XE and IOS-XR devices, FTD firewalls, and WLCs.
  • Have worked in OT/Production environments, including designing, implementing, and maintaining communication networks and structured cabling standards (LAN/WAN) in real-time or factory environments.
  • Are a self-starter with a proactive, “Can do” attitude.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and can work effectively with remote colleagues and peers.
