Join us in this role where you’ll play an important role in ensuring successful commercial outcomes from the OFTO OMA. You will have a wide range of responsibilities including ensuring that transmission asset owners and their investment partners who own the transmission system understand their asset’s performance, gaining technical approval for and budget for necessary work, and contributing to initiatives that progressively improve performance across a range of aspects. As well as representing Orsted Operations in front of the transmission asset owners, in this role you will directly contribute to the commercial success of our OFTO OMAs and performance of the transmission assets.

You’ll be part of OMA Business Management where you, together with your colleagues, will take up the challenges and responsibilities of delivering the OMA. Your primary operational stakeholder in Orsted is OFTO/HV Transmission Operations. You will be working closely with Ownership Management including managing asset risks and deploying technology to maximise asset performance. This is done to create new value for Orsted and the transmission asset owners. There will be significant opportunity for exposure to senior leadership within Orsted and further progressing your career.
You’ll play an important role in:
- Shaping how we collaborate and integrate across domains of expertise to drive value on the transmission assets of the world’s largest offshore wind farms.
- Serving as the representative for our Operations business units towards the transmission asset owners, external investors, and internal customers, providing updates on all operational activities.
- Steering the profit and loss from our operating transmission systems in the UK East.
- Leading interaction with internal and external senior managers and decision makers while being responsible for regular reviews of operational expenditures and profit creation.
To succeed in the role, you:
- Have a passion to understand the commercial, financial, technical, and operational aspects of a transmission system asset.
- Have a strong track record of managing complex commercial contracts and relationships including direct engagement with senior decision makers and external customers.
- Have a good sense of the offshore transmission infrastructure in the UK and a good understanding of its framework and relevant key stakeholders.
- Have prior experience from transmission, offshore wind, or a relevant industry such as power generation, management consulting, energy, technology, etc.
- Demonstrate a ‘Can-Do’ attitude and have a passion for integrating multiple internal teams to drive effective and creative solutions for the transmission assets.
- Have a master’s degree for example in business administration, economics, or engineering.
