Welcome to QHSE Generation UKW
You’ll be part of the QHSE Generation UK West Coast team where you, together with your colleagues, will share deep industry knowledge and uphold a culture of care, supporting the safe operation of our offshore wind farms. The team is composed of full-time and contract personnel, located across Barrow-in-Furness and Burbo Bank (Liverpool).
As a team, we value strong collaboration, open knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning to meet the evolving demands of the renewable sector. You will report directly to the West Coast Hub Head of Generation QHSE, working with colleagues across locations to drive results and foster a positive QHSE culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert QHSE advice and guidance to site management and operational teams
- Actively promote a high standard of QHSE awareness and foster a culture of care among all staff
- Participate in and support offshore asset integrity management, policy, and strategy implementation
- Conduct inspections, audits, and document reviews to ensure compliance with relevant standards, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001
- Deliver verbal and written advice to offshore managers, technicians, and administration staff
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on QHSE initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bring experience in QHSE within high hazard industries (e.g., wind, oil & gas, petrochemical, or refineries)
- Possess experience with auditing or accreditation for ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001
- Be a member of IOSH
- Hold as a minimum the NEBOSH General Certificate, or NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is preferred
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
Please note that you’re expected to carry out regular visits to our offshore windfarms so holding current GWO certification would be an advantage and also from time to time, travel between Barrow-in-Furness and the Burbo Bank sites, as well as occasional visits to other operational sites across the UK West Coast as directed by leadership and operational need.
