Orridge is one of the leading stocktaking providers to Retail and Pharmacy. Stocktaking means counting stock, which for us happens in a retail or pharmacy location. Our stocktake teams do this by scanning the barcodes of each product using Orridge equipment and our unique stocktaking system.

We have vacancies for Stocktakers in our Scottish region. Our stocktakers typically work as part of a team, supported by a Stocktake Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Count stock and scan barcodes at retail or pharmacy locations using Orridge equipment and our stocktaking system
- Follow clear instructions and procedures to deliver accurate stocktakes
- Operate efficiently to provide a productive stocktake service
- Work with flexibility, including the possibility of weekend work and travel within the Orridge region
- Be on your feet for extended periods; some use of ladders may be involved
- Enthusiasm and a good work ethic
- Attention to detail – accuracy of stocktakes is a priority
- Ability to follow clear instructions and procedures
- Drive to operate efficiently – we have to deliver the service productively
- Flexibility, with availability to work at least 3 days per week; weekend work also available
- Willingness to travel (within an Orridge region), often to a different location each day
- Own transport is an advantage, but not essential
- No prior stocktaker experience required; full training will be provided
- Minimum 4 hours pay per day

This is a casual contract. Full, paid training will be provided. Orridge operates 7 days per week. The role often requires afternoon/evening work and can require early morning work. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. A stocktaker spends a lot of time on their feet and some use of ladders is involved.
