Orridge is one of the leading stocktaking providers to Retail and Pharmacy. Stocktaking means counting stock, which for us happens in a retail or pharmacy location. Our stocktake teams do this by scanning the barcodes of each product using Orridge equipment and our unique stocktaking system.
Starting Hourly rate: £8.91
Bonus scheme applies from day 1. Bonus hourly rates up to £10.22.
We have vacancies for Stocktakers in our Scottish region. Our stocktakers typically work as part of a team, supported by a Stocktake Supervisor.
Responsibilities:- Count stock and scan barcodes at retail or pharmacy locations using Orridge equipment and our stocktaking system.
- Follow clear instructions and procedures to deliver accurate stocktakes.
- Operate efficiently to provide a productive stocktake service.
- Work with flexibility, including the possibility of weekend work and travel within the Orridge region.
- Be on your feet for extended periods; some use of ladders may be involved.
- Enthusiasm and a good work ethic.
- Attention to detail – accuracy of stocktakes is a priority.
- Ability to follow clear instructions and procedures.
- Drive to operate efficiently – we have to deliver the service productively.
- Flexibility, with availability to work at least 3 days per week; weekend work also available.
- Willingness to travel (within an Orridge region), often to a different location each day.
- Own transport is an advantage, but not essential.
- No prior stocktaker experience required; full training will be provided.
- Minimum 4 hours pay per day.
