About the Role
Orri is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide maternity cover, supporting the day to day running of the finance department and improving levels of financial planning, reporting and control. Working closely with the Finance Director and other members of the Senior team, this role covers all areas of finance and as an integral part of the company, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills and work with all areas of the business.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with the clinical and admissions teams to ensure financial processes are seamlessly joined up with other business processes.
- Taking on the more complex client financial queries across all service lines.
- Supervise, mentor, and support the finance team.
- Oversee accounts payable and payment runs in conjunction with monitoring cash flows.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial management information including management accounts and board reports.
- Overseeing the balance sheet reconciliations and VAT return (as prepared by the Finance Associate).
- Overseeing the year end process and the preparation of the annual financial statements.
- Overseeing the annual financial audit and tax computation. Supporting with any other ad hoc tax queries.
- Working with the Finance Director on commercial analysis and pricing.
- Review and oversee monthly payroll process file as prepared by the HR team and processed by the payroll bureau.
- Planning and carrying out testing of new systems.
- Ensure robust financial governance structures are in place to support compliance with financial regulations and other relevant accounting standards.
- Ensure financial risks are identified and managed.
Your Previous Experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Fully qualified accountant.
- Experience in using accounting software (Xero preferred but not essential).
- Experience in reviewing payroll.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Management of a small team.
- Experience of working in a small business/start-up/scale up environment.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams including with non-financial team members.
