We’re looking for an Eating Disorder Associate to join our growing team!
The postholder will work alongside the clinical team, to build strong therapeutic relationships with the clients.
- Hours: 40 hours are worked over 4 days, between Monday- Friday, from 9,00 am to 7.30 pm
- Based: Orri, 80-81 Wimpole Street, W1G 9RE
- Contract type: Permanent
Role Overview:
Orri is an ambitious, young fast-growing company committed to changing the way we treat eating disorders in the UK. As an Eating Disorders Associate (EDA), you will be an essential part of the Orri team. Your role is vital in supporting clients throughout their therapeutic day and this support can take on many forms; it may be supporting a group by facilitating mealtimes and processing, or on a 1:1 level helping clients struggling with meals. You will also support clients with therapeutic elements of their day, such as weekend planning, reviews, interactions between clients and their multi-Disciplinary team, as well as processing with those who may be distressed or those needing to ground.

There are many opportunities for learning and development within the client interventions and interactions throughout the role. Orri’s Educational Programme runs throughout the core of its philosophy and is designed specifically to maximise learning potential.
The training is varied and includes:
- facilitated classroom sessions covering specialist interventions.
- the statutory and mandatory requirements of a regulated service.
- competent practitioner specialist training, covering specific therapeutic approaches.
Main Duties:
- To observe, monitor and record Client’s presentation throughout day communicating information in timely manner to MDT.
- To work under the direction and in association with Psychologists, Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Psychotherapists and RMN.
- To follow the multi-disciplinary team bespoke care plans.
- To work within the multidisciplinary team to ensure Orri provides a safe, effective and caring service that is responsive to people’s needs.
- To develop and maintain effective working alliances with patients and their families
- To communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner.
- To form professional relationships with members of the whole team and work alongside other professionals to deliver boundaries interventions to clients and families.
- To receive regular clinical professional supervision and reflective practice.
- Developing new ideas to improve client care and service delivery.
- Assist with audit of client/carer satisfaction with the service.
- To demonstrate ongoing personal development through participation in internal and external development opportunities.
- Be flexible and adaptable, well organised and able to manage time and workload effectively in line with the needs of the service.
- Assist the multi-disciplinary team with Day-to-day organisation and running of the service.
- To participate in the team Personal Development 360 Review process as appraisee.
- To operate within Orri policies, guidelines and protocols and current Health and Safety at Work Legislation.
- To be able prepare and conduct presentations.
- To prepare and facilitate snack group.
- Assist case managers to support clients.
- Contribute to ensuring that Orri safeguarding policies and procedures are followed consistently.
- Raise any safeguarding issue following appropriate procedure to the Orri safeguarding lead.

- Educated to degree level.

In addition, any ad hoc requirements within the postholders skill set to support Orri UK may be required.
